NHS Physiotherapy/MSK Advice Line for Muscle & Joint Pain Issues

Are you aged over 16 and experiencing muscle and/or joint pain?

The NHS Physiotherapy Service in East Lothian can offer help with a wide range of problems including those affecting necks, backs and shoulders. Their first point of contact is the MSK Advice Line. You don’t need a referral from a GP or other clinical professional to use this service, you can call the MSK Advice Line whenever you feel you need access to the physiotherapy service.

When you call, a member of the Physiotherapy Team will take your details and make an appointment for you to have a telephone review with an advanced physiotherapy practitioner. The advanced physiotherapy practitioner will then call you back at convenient time for you, assess you over the phone and offer appropriate advice.

The MSK Advice Line can be contacted Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 11.30, by phoning 0300 3 690680.
